Description
Experience the beauty of Australia's stunning coastline on a journey along the Eyre Peninsula. Encounter abundant wildlife, secluded pockets of paradise, and seafood sourced from the surrounding waters. Roam the bush and sea at one of the area's famed beaches, and marvel at the rugged cliffs that give way to the sapphire ocean below. Enjoy a feast of fresh seafood from the region's renowned fishing fleet, and get up close with koalas at Mikkira Station. Your passionate storyteller guide will provide insight into the region's history and culture. Start your day with a pick up from your Port Lincoln accommodation between 7:30 and 8:00am. Head to Lincoln National Park, where you can spot emus strolling the shoreline and native birds in the dense bush. Ascend to Wanna Lookout for sweeping views across Sleaford Bay, and enjoy morning tea at a locally-loved picnic spot. Continue to the Fresh Fish Place for lunch, sampling the region's world-renowned seafood. Then, take a scenic drive along the untamed coastline of Whalers Way to Mikkira Station. Here, you can get up close with some 150 wild koalas, as well as kangaroos and emus. Explore the historic homestead, and learn about the lives of the region's pioneers. Finally, take in the views from Winters Hill lookout before being dropped back to your accommodation between 5:00pm. For a more private experience, upgrade to a 4WD tour. You can tailor the day around your interests and head off-road for a little adventure. The standard private tour upgrade includes a gourmet picnic lunch and wine in Lincoln National Park. Please note that dietary requirements can be catered for, and the small group tour requires a minimum of four people to operate.
