Description
Experience the beauty of a 400-year-old Japanese garden in a unique and traditional way! Suizenji Jojuen in Kumamoto city, founded in 1692, is renowned for its stunning selection of Japanese landmarks in miniature, including Tokyo’s Nihonbashi bridge, Lake Biwa, and other scenes from historic Edo-era post stations. Choose from over 150 kimono designs, from traditional Japanese prints to more contemporary patterns, and be assisted by a professional kimono dresser. Clad in a kimono of your choice complete with socks, a traditional purse, and a Kumamon fan, explore the serene garden and take amazing photos on the stone bridges that date back to the Meiji era (1868–1912), the iconic Izumi Shrine, and more. End your one-of-a-kind experience at the Kokindenju no Ma, a 400-year-old building with a thatched roof, and enjoy the view overlooking the pond, framing the best of the entire garden, with a cup of green tea. This package includes kimono rental, socks, a traditional purse, and a Kumaon fan, assistance by a professional kimono dresser, Suizenji Jojuen admission ticket, and an in-store photoshoot (2 photos and data).
